About There's No Undo

We're Manchester's community dedicated to ensuring AI development prioritises ethics, accountability, and human wellbeing.

Our Mission

We're a growing global movement building infrastructure for ethical AI—starting in Manchester—and inviting anyone, anywhere, to join or support.

In an era where artificial intelligence is reshaping every aspect of our lives, we believe that the decisions we make today about AI will have permanent consequences. There's no undo button for algorithmic bias, privacy violations, or systems that perpetuate inequality.

Our mission is to create a space where technologists, policymakers, ethicists, and community members can come together to ensure AI development is guided by strong ethical principles and effective regulation.

Our Purpose
To foster informed dialogue about AI ethics and regulation, bridging the gap between technical innovation and societal impact.
Our Values
Transparency, accountability, inclusivity, and a commitment to ensuring AI serves humanity's best interests.
Our Approach
Evidence-based discussions, diverse perspectives, and practical solutions that balance innovation with responsibility.
Our Community
A welcoming space for anyone interested in shaping the future of AI, regardless of technical background.

Founder's Story

"There's No Undo" began from a deeply personal experience of facing irreversible AI dilemmas. As someone working at the intersection of technology and ethics, I witnessed firsthand how AI systems—once deployed—create consequences that cannot be undone.

I saw bias perpetuated in hiring systems, privacy violations in recommendation engines, and systems that amplified inequality. Each time, the question was the same: "How do we prevent this?" And the answer was clear: we must act before harm occurs, not after.

This movement is built on the belief that ethical responsibility must come before innovation. We need infrastructure—not just conversations—that enables responsible AI development. Starting in Manchester, but with a vision that extends globally, we're building that infrastructure together.

The vision is simple: a world where every AI decision is made with ethics, accountability, and human welfare at the forefront. Where there's no need for an undo button because we got it right the first time.

Our Principles

Openness
We believe in open dialogue, transparent processes, and accessible resources. Our community is open to anyone committed to ethical AI, regardless of background or affiliation.
Diversity
We actively seek and value diverse perspectives—across industry, background, experience, and identity. Diversity strengthens our community and ensures we consider the full impact of AI decisions.
Transparency
We operate with transparency in our governance, decision-making, and relationships. Board meetings are summarized publicly, sponsorship relationships are clear, and community input is valued.
Prevention
We focus on preventing harm before it occurs, not just responding to it. This means building ethical considerations into AI development from the start, not as an afterthought.
